Tough day, even though it should have been a great day. The water is about as high as I have ever seen it, having come up almost two feet in the last week. Perhaps that is why it is not fishing well.

After fishing from sun-up to sun-down, we did find fish, but mostly hammer handles, and not all that many.
The water clarity is still good at the outlet, but the stream comming in is just pure mud. There is so much debris, like dead straw like grass, that in spots even trolling is impossible.

Still, it is great to be on the water.

A Hammer "handle" is a fish that is about as long as a hammer's handle, a little on the thin side. I look forward to your post to see how you did. With luck the conditions may have stabalized and your fishing will be better.
