Hello all! First time user, long time reader. Dad and I hit Sprague Lake about 8 A.M. after driving all morning through a downpour. Minutes after getting the boat in, sky stopped falling and life was good. Started trolling by the island towards the main lake and first hookup within 10 minutes. Decent 'bow, around 2 lbs on a spinner and worm. Picked up a few more, then hit long dry spell, except the sky started falling again so not dry. Trolled up the North side of the lake a ways to try to find them but only thing we caught was Washington State, at least it was a double. Cut across the lake to the South side and pops caught a 2.5 lb Lahontan, did not even know they were in Sprague. Headed back to the island and it got fun. First, pops hooks and boats a 3lb 'bow. My turn, 2.5 lb bow and while putting in livewell, other rod goes berzerk! Bent double with a large rainbow going bananas on the end of the line! It was 4.4 lbs and caught on a rainbow Flicker Shad. Landed 7 fish and lost that many, all on spinner/worm with the exception of the largest one.

Nice report, nice fish too! What is a lahontan fish? I just fished the lake for my first last summer. I was surprised to catch a bass since they killed it off a few years back. Was woundering if anyone has been targeting them in there yet or have cought any nice ones yet. Anyhow, talk with ya soon.
