Good report.

We launched at sun up and trolled Rapalas on leaded line and a wedding ring on mono with a few small split shots above the swivel. We started getting equal amounts of hits on all of the above with the speed anywhere from 1.4 to 1.8 mph. Fished the normal area around Johnson beach and had 10 fish in the net in 2.5 hrs (2rb and 8brown). The size of the fish were all 12 to 14 inches but were very aggresive. The water temp was 54 degrees and was very clear. The water level of the lake is way down, making it very difficult to launch and even more so to trailer your boat. I have been fishing this lakes for years and was doing a scouting trip for the fabulous winter fishing that takes place at Rock. The fishing is only going to get better as the water temp gets lower. The fish caught will get bigger and more aggresive, now we need the rain and colder weather to start the season at Rock Lake.
