started as a great morning on the lake troling for Tigers in my little 12' aluminum boat. but I would ilke to put out a special thanks to the A-holes in the white and grey supra wakeboard boat who seemd to think it was fun to come within 30ft of me and my very elderly mom and try to capsize my little boat. This dick made atleast 6 passes some closer than others. The wake off this boat was large enough to put the rear of my boat underwater a couple of times, puting me up to my ankles in my boat and sending me back to shore. the wakeboarder in tow thought it was also funny to go over my troling lines and swerve just missing my little boat. yea that was me giving the thumbs down and shaking my head. It took everything i had not to slash the tires on his black ford pickup and supra trailer in the public launch area. So to the silver lake guys watch out for this prick.

Hey kfleck,
You shudda called the Spokane police. They are very pro active with fishermen out there. I know its in hind sight but you could have reported their boat number or even their trailer and truck license plate number too. Sorry to hear of your misfortunes out there. Must be related to the knobs on lake tapps. Take it easy man, Todd

Years ago, in another state, we had a jet ski that was trying to play chicken with our 16 footer as we ran down the lake. My dad got tired of it so he turned into the guy instead of away at the last minute. Crowds roared, cops ticked him, dad did not even get a warning. I doubt the SKI ever ran again.

Hmmmm, can we get away with that in Washington??????

I agree with muskyhunter, I would call right away next time. My brother and I were out on Silver last summer and ran into a Spokane County Sheriff Deputy. He asked us how things were going and if we had any problems with any other boaters. Fortunately everyone was behaving themselves that day but they said if we ever had ANY problems don't hesitate to call and they would be right out. He made it sound like there was not much of a "warning" they give when called out. Before I knew this, a buddy and I were out there a couple of summers ago fishing and, like you, a red/black Moomba wake board boat was out there doing the same thing and acted like he owned the whole lake. The wake boarder thought it would be funny to jump in our direction right before we were passing each other and we had to swerve to miss him. Then the rest of the evening they would come in very close and yell cuss words, flip us off, and try to swamp us. We saw them a couple more times and they still acted the same way....an A-hole to everyone else on the water. Amazing that once school started they were not on the water any more.

Maybe you should keep a casting rod at the ready. I wonder if that wake boarder would have spooled you with a well placed cast and a crank bait.

Thanks for the support guys, I was so pissed off. writing it down helped lower my blood pressure. I didn't even think of calling the cops. that would have been a smart idea but then i might have had to wait around. I didn't get the license plate or anything. I had a rubber frog on the casting rod that would have just bounced off. but keeping a big crank bait on would definitely put a hurtin on their day.
