Stopped by Fivemile on the way home from work around 3:30 - 3:45. I know there are decent Crappie in the lake, but have yet to fully find the schools. The dock used to be solid for the crappie, times change.

Anyhow, I tried for crappie with slip bobber and crappie jig, tipped with crappie nibble. NO LUCK! Then switched over to try for Lg Mth Bass, have done ok for them in Fivemile over last couple years. I only caught one, with no other bites. Used a senko. C&R

The fish are moving up shallow, very slowly.

When the weather warms up in May, will take the pontoon out for a try.

Good job and hats off to you. I've tried hard for bass in this lake and can only manage to catch trout. Not even the blue gills in this lake like me, lol.

You need a float tube or pontoon boat. Limited access. There are good size bass to be caught. When weather warms, spinner bait works for me in fivemile.

Thanks! After beating myself up fishing on the shore, your recommendation is like an epiphany. :)
