A nice afternoon in Skagit Co., so I thought I would re-visit the Beaver lake crappie
Again, they were very cooperative, and this time the size was just enough for a fish fry. I kept 10 that were 9 and 10 inches, with at least 20 smaller ones released. they were liking a 1/32 oz jig with red and chartreuse feathers and tipped with Gulp maggots or crappie nibbles, fished about 2 feet under a bobber. they were also hitting a 1/16 jig with a black and chartreuse mini-tube.
Fishing close to any bushes and stick-ups in 4 to 7 feet of water.
two were female, but the eggs were not fully developed, so, they should be in the shallows for a while.
