Went out to Silver Sunday morning on a wimb, nothing was happening, I thought I should try it instead of watching the 5+ hours of boring pregame that was going to happen all day. Got out there at abut 9:00 am, one other group of guys were heading on the ice when I was as well. No one was doing very well. I was using a size 14 chartuse and orange marmooska with a red finesse tail trailer, I can usually pick up about 10 with it and then get some eyes for the rest of the day but nothing even tried to take a swing at it.
I went out and tried to the black ice line about 40 yards from the second pier on the southern side of the launch bay, with no luck in about 25 feet of water. I then moved into the middle more in front of the middle pier of the launch about 120 yards from the launch, nothing. So I moved into about 15 feet of water right off of the middle pier itself and still nothing. I gave it about an hour and went home to start drinking and watch the Packers handle the Steelers. Good to see the trophy coming back to title town, sorry Gary, I had to say it.
Silver might be dying down but at least Roosevelt is starting to heat up a bit.
Tight lines and heavy nets,
Fowl (Elliott)
