Linked up with Motor1 and on the ice at 8:00 A.M. Very cold at 13 degrees. Winds from the NE at 10 MPH. We headed to 40' of water where we had done well in the past. From the moment we put our lines in we began getting intermittent action. Schools would come through every 5-10 minutes or so, with each giving up a couple perch. Most takes were very light and it was obvious the fish were not fully interested. It wasn't fast and furious like past days but was enough to keep our interest until about 9:30 when it stopped. We then moved into more shallow water where, for the next hour, we got a few light takes but no fish. We ended up with only 15 or so keepers between the two of us.
With this morning's bite so light I'll have to try the evening bite. Will post a comment on how that turns out.
