Decided to walk down and check the ice today about 10am, the lake is finally solid.
drilled about 5 holes, the ice was between 5 to 7in thick.
was only out about an hour and only had a few bites, but was able to ice 1 fairly nice perch
using a green Gitzit jig head with a chunk of worm.
just glad the ice is on..Tight lines..

wheezy. I think a lot of us had a "One or None" type fishing day. Were you using a Gitzit little tough guy jighead? Nice pretty coloration on your Perch. Jiggy

Thanks, yes it was a little tough guy jig. I have bought a few different ice fishing jigs, but have seemed to have the most luck with those. I live on the south end of the lake near the Bible Camp, but I have had more luck down by the public boat launch on the south end.
