Have been hitting Rock pretty regularly this fall with good success, so the smoker has been full a few times. We got on the water Friday around 8:30 and picked up a couple skinny browns right off long lining rapalas and a crawdad crank. Ran to the North end and had good success with orange and purple apexes tipped with corn to add a little scent. Size ranged from 1 to 2.5 pounds, have caught a few this fall in the 3 pound range. The majority of the fish are rainbows caught on the down rigger at 25ft. or trolling slow with 2 to 3 oz weights. Most of the fish are marking 20 to 35ft at the upper end of the lake so the best success can be had if you have a way to consistantly present at their level. Have had good results from many different colored lures, stick baits and flies (green streamers or muddlers).
Going back soon.
