It was warm and sunny -- very warm, almost 80 degrees -- And, no wind -- not even a breeze. Had to launch the boat. Headed for Wye Lake again, partly just because it is fairly close. Nobody at the launch and my boat was the only one on the lake. Water was flat as a mirror. I fished most of the lake with only limited success. Caught a few small bass on a Rapala. Don't know where the lunkers were hiding out -- just know that I couldn't find them. Over all though, a very nice day on a quiet little lake enjoying taking in a little vitamin C and catching a few small bass. Some of the little bass can release themselves if you give them a little slack line to play with. Wye is a clear water lake with little aquatic vegatation which makes it a good lake to fish in late summer and fall. Photos show the calm, sunny conditions on the lake.
