Caught a few bluegill fishing a parachute adams with a splash of red, but tough fishing. Tons of loud obnoxious recreational boaters/jet-skiers (hello to summer) as well as people lounging by the shorelines.

Hey ya Jay K, good to hear that you are still thrilling a few Bluegill. Try a small (I mean the Small ones for panfish) poppers on your fly line. I love the ones made by Bett's with rubber legs, but have made my own, and as long as it gives a profile in the water, and will make a disturbance when you twitch (the line that is), you should get some outstanding topwater action from the gills. I've even picked up LMB (up to 2#) on these lil guys. Give it a try a nd let us know how it went.

Can't help you with the fly stuff, but Lewis has offered good advice. As for the water conditions and recreational boaters, we normally make our trips to Silver in late afternoon to early evening to minimize the time we have share the resource with them. Usually works pretty good. Were you shorebound or on a boat?
