Fear not, its cold outside but the fish are still biting. Went to spencer this morining, got there at 645 and started trolling, tried several rigs but no luck. After 2 hours of that I parked the boat and threw out some rainbow power bait. Got 1 in an hour then nothing, around noon I switched from a 1 foot leader to a 4 footer then bam Got my limit in 30 minuets. All fish over a pound and fighters. Real nice day today, saw a beaver, eagles and a whole bunch of geese, not to croweded and a great day overall.

haven;t used power bait in years, used to get my limit with it, made me feel like a pro, and thats on every lake

Great report, I have been wondering how the fishing is going out there.

Thanks for the report, same with Gamefisher, I've been wondering if they've been getting fish at Spencer. Tried it last month but the lake was still frozen over at the boat launch area and couldn't get the boat out.
