Fished for couple hours. Spent the first hour looking for the bigger perch in deeper water, didn't have any success though. So we hit the shallower water to fish for dink perch. It was fun to say the least. Use the usual ice fishing jigs with perch eyes. Gave the local birds a perch buffet.
Temp was in mid 40's, my warmest ice fishing trip ever. Ice is 10 inches thick and is strong.
Something to watch out for is the big holes in the ice that were probably made with people using an ax or hatchet, as they don't get a chance to freeze over in this warm weather. The second picture show how big some of them can get, that is your typicall five gallon bucket. That bucket would fit right through the hole.
If you bring kids with you keep an eye out on them as that can be dangerous.
