Hit Silver today and there was a crowd. Half fishing shoreline and half fishing deeper water. Consistent fish bite in 22 feet of water, east of the launch, just a little past midline. Smaller sizes today and took some sorting to get some OK sized fish, only a few broke 9". Fished with my usual black shrimpo jig, glow beads, maggot and perch eye until the buggers ate my plastic; Then just continued w/ the black jig head. Jigged a few inches off the bottom.
Lake was cold today with some sleet/rain mixed in. Good thing I was fishing with a buddy who'd brought a pop-up shelter - really made for a much nicer outing. There were a few other shelters out there today; Weather really called for it. Caught all our fish out of 2 holes in the shelter. Between the two of us, took home about 50 keepers. Bite died down for us around noon (as has been the pattern past two weeks); Bite appears best from 8-11:30
