I have been doing it for over 20 years mostly in Wisconson and still get occasional goose bumps talking about it. You have to first understand those fish are the hardest fresh water fish there is to catch. They have no pattern you can put together. Once you think you have them figured out they will prove you wrong. Most of the rules from vidios or books I have learned about catching those devils have been proven wrong by myself and others. The fish are everywhere and nowhere. Dont try to figure them out. It may drive you mad. Just fish the same way you would for bass only use heaver tackle. Cast till you feel like you are going to die they do it again and again for years. This may sound like I'm trying to discourage you but no it 's just the way it is. Your persistance will pay off. I had a summer last year that I lost count after 15 muskies and really didn't spend that much time fishing and this year I fished my butt off and got zilch! That's Musky fish fishing.
