Took my daughter to Silver for some late afternoon/early evening fishing. Set my daughter on light tackle, with white crappie jig and bright green GULP maggot. Showed her how to jig and fish were immediately on. All species from blue gill, to crappie, to perch. She had an awesome time, and the angling world has just received another believer. My sole fish (with many other strikes), was caught on a purple senko on a worm hook (no weight). If I was a better fisherman I would have hooked more, because the strikes were very consistent all evening long. What a great time. Fun fishery, and a great place to learn to get better....Got my fish-on.

Where do you go at Silver?... I've tried fishing there many times and always seem to get skunked! :(

I fish on the south end, eat shore. Its the last residence on that side (with the boat house) Catch lots of the spiny rays (Perch, Bluegill crappie, smaller bass). We fish just south of the Boat house and dock. Also between there and west side we catch good size crappie. And yesterday, I caught a couple of bass on the West side directly across what, I been talking about. The Muskies are caught (Not that Ive got one) On the East side, South of the rock point. From 50 to 100 feet off the shore.
