*Be dep Be dep Be dep* Welcome to you evening broadcast live from WashingtonLakes.com I'm your evening anchor Fred Catchanothin. Tonight we have a live report from our reporter in the field Dan Hungonthedock from Wooten Lake. Take it away Dan.

(Dan:) Thanks Fred I'm standing here at the edge of Wooten lake and as you can see it is getting dark and raining, but we do have a lone fisherman pulling in to the boat landing, let's see if we can get a report from him. Hello my name is Dan Hungonthedock with WashingtonLakes.com evening news would you mind if we ask you a few questions about your evening fishing?

(Me:) Nope I don't mind

(Dan:) So how was the fishing?

(Me:) Well it totally stunk I didn't catch a durn thing but 2 trees, 1 dock, and myself twice. By the way do you have a first aid kit?

(Dan:) No sorry we don't. So you are saying that you got skunked?

(Me:) Well I don't like the word skunked so much as any day on the boat is better than the best day at work.

(Dan) So what do you think of Wooten lake now that you had a chance to fish it?

(Me) Well I will say after the hour search for the lake it is pretty nice.

(Dan) You looked for the lake for an hour?

(Me) Yep I sure did all the mapping software online will not get you anywhere close and with me being the complete idiot I am I forgot to print out the wonderful directions that you can find on WashintonLakes.com. I was to the point where I said the next boat launch I found I was gonna launch. So I pulled into this here landing and started to unload, when a couple of nice folks strolled by and I asked them what lake this was and they told me Wooten. So there I stood with power bait all over my face so to speak.

(Dan) So what lures, tatics, or baits did you use?

(Me) Well let's see I started off with my trusty silver and black shallow divin crank and watched 3 14"+ trout swim by laughing at my lure, or it may have been me they were laughing at not real sure. Then I flipped over to one of my deep diving cranks and still nothin. So I pulled out the spinner and gave it a whirl to no avail. Worms, then Jigs, then Top waters nothin. So I flipped over to trout and tried a wedding ring with and without power bait and just power bait sittin on the bottom. At this point I was ready to dangle me toes in the lake and see if I could get a bite, but I was worried about the fish catchin mouth fungus so I held off. I did see a couple of ladies fisin from their dock catch a few trout but nothin to write home about.

(Dan) So will you be back?

(Me) Durn tootin I will. I got skunked on Panther the first few times I went but now I catch somethin almost everytime I go. It is just a matter of learin the lake.

(Dan) Thank you very much for answering all my questions. Back to you Fred.

(Fred) Well even though Wooten got a 1 on this report I think it is safe to say that it will not be that way for long. Stay tuned after these important messages for the breaking story of how a fisherman hooked himself and a 5lb largemouth all at the same time......

Well Johnny Tell William what he won for being so creative.... Well folks William won a picture of a bass boat... Now this isn't any picture it is what ever one he finds to rip out of a magazine and hang on the mirror..... *cheers screaming applause*

Thanks I just have a hard time posting boring reports when I have nothing to report... :-)

I liked that style of reporting! Keep 'em coming! And, oh yes, I have seen dozens of big bass in Lake Wooten and even caught a few -- the biggest being 5 pounds, 13 ounces.
