My son and I went to McIntosh for an afternoon of fishing. We had fished it in the past without much luck. After considerable thought we believed that we had figured out the lake.We took some PH readings and oxygen/temperature readings and found the best PH to be around 5.0. The surface temp was 71.8 deg.with the bottom temp at at 68 deg.and the oxygen level was 8.8 ppm. These readings were in the area we chose to fish the heaviest. My son caught a 3.75 lb. bass that had been finning at the shore line. After a couple more hours and numerous nibbles and short strikes he nailed a 2 lb. rainbow. I however was unable to catch any fish but we had a great afternoon together.
