Thurston County’s McIntosh Lake is located about 4 miles east from Tenino. It covers 116 surface acres, reaches depths of only about 11 feet and lies at an elevation of 336 feet. Fish species include rainbow trout, yellow perch and largemouth bass. Prime bass habitat includes lots of overhanging brush and trees, pad fields, under water logs and wood, old pilings and a few private docks. Public access is provided by the Washington State Department of Fish and Wildlife. The large access area has lots of parking space, pit toilets, and 2 very good boat launching ramps. Bob Johansen
