Fishing solo, I launched my small boat onto Wye Lake for a bass try. Fished and explored much of the shoreling without seeing a bass or any sign of spawning activity. The only action was when a 15 3/4 inch rainbow smashed my "bleeding shad" Rapala on the surface. The fish really went berserk when hooked. Had to bonk the fish to retrieve the lure. Snapped a pic before removing the lure. Mostly calm but some breeze under mostly cloudy skies. Two other boats on the lake fishing for trout.
