My buddy from work and I fished from 1:30PM-4:30PM in search of LMB's using jigs, trailer and crawfish scent. Had a few bumps but was hard to tell if I was just hitting things on the bottom. I finally did get one solid bite,no doubt it was a fish but I missed the hookset,so I kept tossing right back to the same area....but nothing for me after that.
However,my buddy finally hooked up with a decent bass. I can't guess weight very well but would estimate 2-3lbs. I went for the camera as he went to heeve the fish over the dock railing (Fivemile dock has a high rail) and that sucker threw the hook. Oh well... The fish was caught just a few feet from off the dock in approx. 15'-20' of water. Weather was partly sunny with a few severe wind gusts at times
but not to cold.
