After spending Saturday at St Clair Lake and not getting one bite, we decided to head out to Spencer Lake which has mostly treated us well, well anything had to be better then St Clair. We got out to Spencer just after 9, was very Foggie till almost noon. Other then that the weather was good for the most part except for the coldness. Started of by missing a couple of hits, then slowly we caught 7 seven till we left just after 4. Most of the time we would just sit at our spot we always go to and do well, but this time we had to move around the whole lake just trying to find them. The three of us had a better time then what we yesterday. For the most part we had the lake to ourselves except for one boat that was there. Speaking of which, we got back in a few minutes after that boat left. As we came in we noticed a nice size rainbow that was laying there still alive that a seagull was starting to work on. Didn't think much about it till we seen this other nice size rainbow hanging out near the top of the water on shore, with its tail almost cut off....trying to swim away but couldn't do it. We are willing to bet those guys that came in didn't want to take just two fish home so they just left them there. Really makes me mad that people can do this & not even care. Why even bother if your not going to keep them? What you only caught two after the whole time? That's the chance you take when you go out. Ive even taken just one home, not going to wast it like that! But other then that we had a better day and enjoyed it, even if it was kinda slow....just being able to relax was the best part.
