My third time on Silver this spring and still not a single bite. I fished both north and south shores of the lake, throwing mostly a crankbait. I also tried a few other methods and baits, including a little drop-shotting. There was NO activity. I also trolled around the edges of the lake hoping to attract a muskie with a baby bass Rapala - again, no luck.

Spoke to a couple other guys while I was out there and no one was seeing any action. Hopefully it picks up here when the water temp rises.

My experience is that when the air temperature is about 60 degrees F, the water temperature would be about right for the fish to bite.

I'll be on Silver next month hopfully the water temps will be up but this weather has been so crazy anything seems possible. Better luck next time.

Maybe 60 degrees + for an extended period of time... It was between 65 and 68 when I was out there Sunday.

Yeah its still a little cold... last time I was out there, the fish were holed up in like 30ft of water and the water temp was low 40s. My buddy was out there 2 days ago and said he saw a musky fairly shallow. So it wont be too much longer
