First time on the lake. Took my fishing pal Bud out, mostly to check it out for later in the spring. I used info from an old Fishing and Hunting weekly about the lake. The day was beautiful, no wind or clouds and temp in the low 50's. There was a serious high pressure ridge going over and we had fished 3 days on 3 lakes and basically had zip to show for it. , We trolled a variety of spinners and crank baits. Used small jigs tipped with worms or Powerbait when we were over suspended schools and cast cranks. Spent most of the time trolling while checking out the bottom. Saw tons of fish in large schools but didn't catch anything. The lake has great features, docks going into deep water, downed trees, long underwater points, holes and flats. Except for some bonehead speeding around the lake in circles, we had the lake to ourselves. The launch is in good shape. We'll definitely go back when the weather warms up.
