2/19/2008 1:33:00 AMI noticed some kind of big bird pulled out a nice big fat trout of some sort and gobbled it down so that made me want to go back!
Decided to hop on this little lake real quick after fishing nearby Clear Lake, to check water temps and level. This is a fun little lake early in the season when the water is high and you can navigate the weeds and access a lot of the shoreline! I have caught bass on buzzbaits on this lake as early as March!! Water temps were 42-44 degrees, water was up a good 4ft from normal. No visible lily pads yet, which is surprising for this lake, usually you can see them year round! At it's deepest it was 12ft deep, I cruised around seeing if I could mark any fish on the depthfinder, but couldn't?? I imaging they are pretty buried up in the grass? I wasn't to serious about fishing it today, more interested in temps, but rest assured, I'll hit it a few times next month!
