I got to the lake later than I wanted, but it did not seem to matter. As long as you have some wind, the fishing can be great on this lake.
I caught and released over a dozen Browns and Rainbows, some up to 24", some as small as 14". I finally kept my limit a little after noon and went home for some yard work. I will warn you, some people were doing well, others caught nothing. A depth finder helps, but look for shore line areas getting the most wind. The color preferred was **** (ok, on the dark side if you must know).
The water is still quite cold at the public access area, 43 to 45 degrees. The water warms a lot as you go upstream and I found 50 degrees just a half mile away. The water is green, but the water is of normal clarity for this time of year on this body of water.
