OK, maybe I will comprimize my initial comment that I would not support this tourney. I don't think many fish will be caught. I wonder how many people will enter. With a $1000 first prize and decent money involved. I just might be convinced to play along.

I guess it's all about the money for me to. LOL

How many derbies will you EVER see with a note in the rules likle this one?
3. To be eligible for prizes, northern pike must be dead at check-in.

Anglers may fish with any legal method. No spearing, bow-and-arrow, or snagging allowed. Does this mean Gillnets are a go? There's still plenty of time to get one off ebay. Here's a link.
