coulee river for some reasons fish not biting
hello, i was fishing in indian reservation, (you have to buy their license) and last two weeks were slow it took me 8 hours to catch 2 trouts, using slider set up with white marshmellow and orange power bait, ppl told me that last year it took 40 min to take your limit, what happened? and the indian at the gas station told me to go down to Rufus Woods Lake he said thats where all the fish is now is it true, i am fishing from the shore (dont have the boat) and i drive from seattle, is it worth to go to that lake and fish from the shore and what set up and powerbait do i need for that lake, thanks all rather be fishing then answering my topic, i know i know same here, lol

I was just there last weekend and it was pretty slow for us. We fished from both shore and boat with limited success. My buddy has been at Rufus the last 5 weekends and has just killed them every weekend except last weekend.
When the fish are hitting its unbelievable. I think my best day at Rufus was 19 fish in 5 hours the smallest being 3lbs and an average of 6lbs. And thats nothing compared to other people success. When they are biting anything will catch fish. Jet puff mallows and night crawlers, and steelhead jigs are my most successful baits

The type of fishing setup you are using is ideal for semi-fresh stocked lakes with good shoreline access. There are a lot of great rivers, creeks, and lakes between here and Rufus though, you don't need to drive that far to catch a fish from a shoreline or dock. Read the reports on the home page and browse through the King County lakes. There's lots of fish to be had on this side of the mountains (although... I do enjoy east side fishing myself!)
