So, I got tired of waiting for something at work today and headed down to Idylwood Park on Lake Sammamish. While throwing out various lures, I noticed somehting interesting. What looked like smelt was jumping out of the lake, you know, trying to get away from something. Occasionally something big would jump out of the water. I assume trout. So, I figure it's some trout swimming around eating the salmon smelt.
What can you use to take advantage of that?

Rapala's and swim baits.

depending on the distance to the schooling baitfish i usually would throw a spoon or a weighted spinner and reel fast enough to keep it close to the surface. works most of the time for me. -< -< )',//<

2 1/2 or 3 inch Krokadile would probably work well.

Had the same thing happen last night....Tried throwing grubs and spinnerbaits around what looked like salmon fry for what I assumed are smallmouth pushing them up on the rocky bank of a shore but didn't have a strike
