Regarding the lake-troll blades from Luhr-Jensen or Seps.... what are the various holes in the "rudder" on these commercial units?
I normally run them as-sold, but what is the extra hole for on the rudder????
Thanks in advance.

The holes in the rudder are for hanging weights. The weight on the rudder not only helps get the gear down to the fish, it also helps to keep the rudder from rotating.

Thank you G-Man, that does make sense now.
Any thoughts as to the trolling speeds suggested for the various styles of popgear? Or, how far back from the blades to place the wedding-ring style bait??
Thanks in advance.
