Hi folks,
I am new around here. I just posted my first two reports a few minutes ago. I am wondering if any of you have been to Dog Lake in Yakima County this year, and if it is still frozen over. A week and a half ago, I took a drive to the top of White Pass and it was still covered with ice. If anyone has seen it since, I sure would appreciate an update. I'm thinking of hitting it this week for some nice carry overs, before they dump in all the small hatchery fish. Thanks!
Joe

RE:Dog Lake
I reported on Dog lake as part of my report on Leech lake on SUnday or Monday...
I was up snowshoeing in the area last sunday and Dog lake was about 1/3 open at that point in time.....
and the ice seemed to be melting fast...... I think it should be fully open next weekend (5/12 - 5/13)...
there will still be some snow around the access areas and shorelines but the lake should be open enough to get out onto and fish...

Fish doesn't smell "fishy" because it's fish. Fish smells "fishy" when it's rotten.
