I am looking for a recommendation for a good Group 24 battery box.
My needs are one that has the external battery post connections, so not needing to open box. I need to be able to secure it to a pontoon boat. The pontoon has a metal decking, plenty big... I would expect there is straps that can run through box, and attach to the decking??
What I don't care about is other stuff, like charge level meter or cigateete adaptors, etc. all the reviews say that stuff breaks anyway.
What have you got that you like?
PIA to read about this stuff an Amazon, because everyone has a ton of negative reviews. And Cabelas/Bass Pro are such a drive.
Thanks in advance

Chris,
Looks like there are a few options on Amazon.com for $40-$50. The Minnkota brand seems nice. How much are you looking to spend? It appears most are standard battery boxes with external connections added. Could probably add your own external connectors to a regular battery box pretty easily it seems. Just an idea.

Thanks Bentrod, I don't knowcwhy I didn't see the Minn Kota group 24 box. It has pretty solid reviews.
Stamding here all the way at Cabelas/Tulalip. They don't carry diddly, ordering over the phone from Amazon.
Well, since I'm here I better go buy some tackle I don't need.

Lol, that sounds like my trips to Cabela's! I have not been overly impressed with the Tulalip store. Haven't been to the Lacy one though. The Quadfather wrote:Thanks Bentrod, I don't knowcwhy I didn't see the Minn Kota group 24 box. It has pretty solid reviews.
