Fishing Docks
Just moved to the area. Looking for places to go fish from shore. I live in North Seattle area. Anyone know of any real good places to Fish of a dock around here other than Green Lake. Went to Lake Washington havent really found a great place to fish from or know of any. Thanks for the help fellas

If you're looking for some docks on Lk. Wa. I assume you are mobile? Check out a couple of docks on the West side of the lake along Lake Washington Blvd. in the area going south towards Seward park. I am sorry I am not more specific. But basicly go down Madison ave. from the 1st hill area, all the way to Lk. Wa. Blvd. then skirt the lake and go south. There are a couple of docks along there which people fish regularily.
Stay away from the very north tip of the lake, Log Boom Park. The dock there goes out into oblivion, you'd think it would really be something. But it is about 6 ft. deep at 500' from shore and a lot of weeds. I haven't caught a fish there in 20 years.
If you go to the Eastside of the lake, check out downtown kirkland. there is a park, and a good size dock there, but I haven't walked it, so I don't know if there are any fishing restrictions, maybe somebody else can chime in with an answer on that. But it is a big *** dock.
Good luck, and let us know what you come up with. Unfortunately you are arriving here when most of the lowland lakes are closed for the winter. But don't give up on Greenlake. And stick to the shoreline on Greenlake, it is one of the best fisheries in King county in my opinion.
