Help identifying what I caught
My wife and I were bank fishing the Skagit. I landed a fish I haven't been able to id. Unfortunately, we forgot to bring the cell or a camera so I have no pic. Here's a description; the fish had goldish coloring with large scales, was around 14-16 inches in length and had a toothless sucker-like mouth that faced downward, much like a sturgeon. Can't find any pics on the net to match the description and, not knowing what I had, it was released unharmed. Any suggestions are appreciated.
Re: Help identifying what I caught
Sounds like a sucker

Believe it or not, the name of the fish is "Large Scale Sucker." They are very common in our rivers and work well as crab bait, just don't try eating them yourself, yuck!
