Red for line color, does it really work??

Post by aquaholic » Tue Aug 07, 2007 10:44 am

I saw this comercial with red color line, saying its invisible for fish? looks so brite to me. I never paid attention to what color the line is, i just looked at the strength. Does it really make a diffrence what color the line is???
THanks

I really liked the idea of the red line, after hearing the color disappears in water. I have one reel spooled w/ Cajun red and there isnt a huge difference, but it id decent line for a cheap price.

I would imagine that Cajun Line is good when fishing 12-15' or more in clear water. Read the science behind the reason for red line. It doesn't "disappear" until after 12'. Other wise I would think it would be a big red light to any fish. I would consider it fishing the salt but that's it.
I have never bought it but if gpc says it's good how can I go wrong. :clown:
I would get to know types of lines, castability, strengths, abrasion resistance, diameter and stretch of lines before I would get into color.

Im with Fishnislife on this one .. Every line has it's own advantage and disadvantage .. just depends on how the angle plans to fish that day .. BBD :-"
