So the way I'm looking at this is.......STOP! telling your friends, family and guys on the water about WL.com.
With a month and a half to go I'm looking pretty good. If of coarse people stop registering! What a cool Christmas and New Years gift all that stuff would be.
I dare you to not say anything to anybody about how cool WashingtonLakes.com is, or how sweet it is to keep up with all the Latest Reports, or how you learned about some really cool tip or trick reading the forum, or what you watched in one of the videos.....i dare you. BWAHAHAHA

The rules according to the post that started this thread state:

2) The person closest to the actual number (over or under) is the actual winner.

Better to get this out of the way now, rather than wait until the end of the contest.

uhhhhhh.......it is November 14th now and as of today there are 31,470 members. My guess is 31,500 and jd39's is 31,359, unless I'm missing something completely........

My post had nothing to do with who is currently winning.

The october 15 post said bassplayer was winning at that time. This would only be the case if the rules required the winner to be closest without going over. But the rules do not state this. So the statement in the October 15 post was not correct.

My intent was to make it clear that the closest, over OR under, will win. Simply clarifying the rules.

key words = AT THAT TIME.

Today is totally different, therefore the LEADER/CLOSEST is totally different. Not the 'winner', the 'LEADER/CLOSEST'.

No doubt. I want less and you want more (but of course both of us want more). I fell like you are going to be good the way this site has picked up viewership. I have a feeling that 31,750 is a great guess at this point. Nice pick btw. It is hard to gauge the winter months.

Seems I've been close three years running but just not in the money. There's usually a little spurt of newbies during Christmas break so I haven't given up completely! But, that's a long way to go! LOL Merry Christmas Everyone!
