We've been fishing it pretty hard since the rains.... not much to show for it! My partner got 1 yesterday on a Vibrax. Other than that can't muster a bite.
They must be just holding out in the salt and getting fat and happy!

AJFishdude and a couple others have asked to see the jigs I use on the stilly, so I thought I would post a pic. The color is fluorescent blue....not a common color but was my number 1 producing jig last season and is the one I caught silver on this morning. I mostly use 3/8 or 1/2 and on occasion 5/8.

Well that's unique! Have not seen that color on a twitching jig before. Might have to add another color pattern to the arsenal. Thanks for sharing.

876 is the code for the entire Stilly below the confluence.
Saw 1 landed at Haller last night for 15 guys. Still slow.

I fished the Stilly probably 8 or 9 times last season and didn't get any Silvers, can't even honestly say I got any hookups. I basically fished it for the entire month of October. I will completely admit though that I was very new to basically all of the techniques I was using. I would like to think that this year I will know better what I am doing and have better luck. I have hit it twice already, but I didn't see much going on either time. It typically seems that when Silvers show up everyone knows because they jump all over the place. Not the case on either of my trips so far, although I did see a few jumps that may have been jacks.
I really want to catch a Silver out of the Stilly this year. After giving it my all last year and failing, it's personal for me now.

Drove by a favorite spot today> Looks like 3 days at best but with more rain on the way> Not good! Weird year...........Really dry and now this and my favorite dates from my journal are Oct 1st to 23 and window closing fast! Pray for the drop!

I stopped by Haller for a look after work yesterday. Shes was high, just like the graph showed with 0" vis. Today the graph shows it dropped 3 feet, so I might stop in there after work and give it a shot. Hope theres atleast 1 foot vis. Had my best day last year just after a blowout like this one fishing real close to the shoreline.
