Biggest fish on a fly?
Whats the biggest fish you caught on a fly pole? Pictures if you got them?
My rod and reel, they comfort me.

Just stocker trout for me. Small crappie. No pictures.
Look for Wannafish A Lure on FaceBook
He said, “Throw your net on the right side of the boat and you will find some.” When they did, they were unable to haul the net in because of the large number of fish.

19"er at Rocky Ford Creek, north of Moses Lake Washington.
No wait, I caught a huge tench at Medical Lake on a fly rod. I don't really want to count it, but it is the biggest.

RE:Biggest fish on a fly?
Sorry, no pictures. I don't fish salt or anything that comes from there. My biggest would be a toss-up between a 26" brownie I got at Clear Lake and a 26" (no kidding!) brookie in McGinnis, both in 2004.
RE:Biggest fish on a fly?
Estimated 105 lb tarpon in the Florida Keys and a striped marlin in Baha, MX about the same size. Both C&R'd.

I am still trying to get my Holly Grail in fly casting. A friend and I are going after the Water Wolves. Hoping to lay into a 40'+ Tiger Muskie.

Don't fly fish much but did tie into a 15-17 lb steelhead on accident fishing trout on the Clackamas down in Oregon. It hit on a little egg pattern.

Spring 2008: A 16" SMB on my 4wt TFO rod. No pics unfortunately. That was a workout on light gear! I was stripping buggars for trout along the bank on Skaneateles Lake in central New York state (where I lived before moving to the Seattle area). Man, I need more sweet surprises like that!

RE:Biggest fish on a fly?
I love surprises like that. One evening out at Chapman I was fishing the shoreline with poppers for bass. During the twilight hours, I had caught and released about 10 SMB averaging about 10". As daylight faded and the stars were showing brightly, I thought I would just stay on the lake awhile longer. It was a beautiful evening and the temperature was in the mid 70's. As I was kicking along in my pontoon boat gazing at the stars, I heard a large splash over in the stump area. Not seeing what made the splash, I thought, it might be a fish so I made a blind cast over to the area where I thought the sound came from. When the popper hit the water, I popped it twice and all hell broke lose. My rod was almost jerked out of my hand and I looked up to see a fish jump out of the water. It jumped 3 times and finally after a minute or two, I got it up to the boat. I grabbed my penlight flashlight and put it between my teeth and reached for my net. Landing it successfully, I sat in my boat with my heart racing staring at about a 5# LMB. I didn't have my camera with me, so I put the net back in the water and the big guy swam off into the darkness. I think my pulse rate returned to normal about the time I drove back through Cheney. What a fun memory:)
