Is the Lake Sammamish State Park the only place you can lauch boats from? Is there any in the north part of the lake?

Vasa Park. Unless you know someone that's it.

Is Vasa public or private?

It's a private park. Anyone can go as long as it's not rented for a party or something.

Don't forget to pay the boat launch fee if you park there (the Sammamish side main launch)... I parked my truck there and dragged my boat through the grass on the left side to put it in the water and got into an argument with the warden over the fee. Keep in mind this was a 7' row boat. I would pay more in launch fees than I paid for my boat if I went there once a week for two months! Even more irratating was when they tried to make me pay the fee when I was fishing from the shore into the lillypads WITHOUT a boat at all! Needless to say I don't fish Sammamish much anymore. If I had a boat with a trailer and actually used the dock I wouldn't have an issue with the fee.

Sorry, but I had to vent. Now back to your regularly scheduled thread...
