Let's hope we start killing the Cougs every year like that again!

I have a bad feeling about this, but since this is a fishing site, I'll bite. "No, what are they?"

Sled dogs, like the Siberian Huskies, but a little larger. :-)

I was expecting some joke about having to use malamute, because the Huskies can't run anymore or something like that.

Nope, no joke.

So, you live in Sammamish, Icicle Creek Alaskan Malamute Kennels is in Sammamish and they are friends of mine. They owned Taz, the sire of the litter I bred 3 years ago, and a puppy from that litter was promised that he would be the new UW Husky mascot, but it looks like he's been rooked out of that job.

With your handle being reigndawgs I figured you followed the Huskies a lot. That is all. :-)
