AMX- if you are 60 yrs. old, that puts Bob in the dawn of time era.
My kids are in their 50's with the oldest at 58 -- The good news is that I am still able to fish -- launch and retrieve my boat with out needing any help -- And a couple days ago, I caught a 4 pound, 10 ounce bass. Not a lunker by any means but a nice fish. When I first started fishing during the early 30's, we were too poor to afford any fishing equiptment so Mom rigged a willow limb with grocery string and attached a small safty pin. With worm for bait she said we caught a few small bull heads and crayfish.
We use to stick our fingers under the rocks until a crayfish grabbed it. Then we'd stick our finger, hand, and arm under the weeds and docks until a bass grabbed the crayfish. Then we'd pull everything up and throw the fish and crayfish on the dock or in an old burlap potato bag. Had to do all the steps over and over, altho 1 finger would usually only last for about 5 craws, then you'd have to change to another finger.

GREAT for supper, fish stuffed with crayfish. Image

What are you guys doing at 30 years old that makes you feel like you are 45-60 years old. Hard work, injuries, hard living?

I was in my prime at that age.:sunny:

Physically I feel like a young pup, though I get a bit more sore the next day when I push myself. Mentally I've been an old fart for quite some time. My actual age is somewhere in between. I've had some standard and not so standard sports injuries but hey, "that which does not kill you makes you stronger."

Wow, what an evenly spread forum age-wise! I am 25. I think people tend to feel older than they are because they remember how much more spry they were only five years ago. :eye:
