Read regs. No trebles allowed in the salt.

Good luck.

Siwashes, Octupus, Sickle, whatever you want. I like 1/0 or 2/0.

buzz bombs are good, but too many people use them for snagging salmon.

I only use the buzz bombs for the pinks. Otherwise like mentioned the point wilson darts are my prefered lure for casting/jigging. No need to mention no trebles since it's already been mentioned.

Do you guys recommend using a bead or bumper between the buzz or dart and the hook? Is there a risk of it sliding down the line and eventually breaking the knot if it keeps hitting?

You are right swede, the darts come with the eyelet at the top. I musta been thinking of a gibbs or something like a buzz that the line goes through.

When you change hooks on your darts, do you use a split ring or just buy open eyed octo hooks?

I thought the darts had a split ring on them.
Anyone put a swivel on the darts? thoughts?

Hmm... correct me if I am wrong but you ARE allowed to use trebles, just not for salmon. There are no BARBS allowed in the salt, but I feel the "selective gear rule" (single point barbless) applies only when listed for each species.

No trebles for salmon.

That is something I would like to have cleared up too...barb'ed or barbless...is there a rule that says you must use?

Here it is, verbatim from the regs:

Hook and line angling - Unless noted
differently, only one line with up to 2 hooks is
allowed. Barbless hooks are required for all
species in Marine Areas 5-13, except forage
fish jig gear. When fishing for SALMON in Marine
Areas 1-13, only single-point hooks may be used.
