Pine Lake Bass

Post by bhuynh03 » Fri May 08, 2009 4:59 pm

Hey i've been limiting on trout at Pine for the last couple of weeks waiting for Bass. Anybody have any luck with them yet on this lake or Beaver? You know when they should be coming shallow?

PS I just threw a senko around Larson for 2 hours and came up fishless with two nibbles. I need to catch a bass soon. :(

They are probably starting to work themselves shallow really soon. Try throwing some cranks or jerkbaits to cover a little more water than just a Senko can cover. More water = Better chances in my book.

Can they be caught off of the dock or boat launch? I have some rapalas that I might want to try.

they should be shallow for sure by now. yes they can be caught off the dock and in the swimming area but you are not supposed to fish the swimming area. if you have a float tube or something you can go to the left when you launch and theres a small round rock wall. a couple make beds there every year. just put a drop shot or a senko on the bed and wait.
also at larson if you get a bite and cant set hook, wait about 3 seconds and set hook. this has been working for me there in the least couple weeks. i have been just letting them run with it for a few seconds before set it.

That is a recipe for disaster.,, in that amount of time the fish can swallow the lure. I would be careful with the amount of time you wait for a hookset. Though they are free, you shouldnt take that for granted. MO
Nice job on your catch, but let there be no doubt,..
Bed fish are easier than hatchery trout,..

sometimes you have to wait to set hook. i dont care what you say, im not new to bass fishing and sometimes you have to wait.
