Lakes with current alge blooms?

Hey guys just a thought, I vote to un sticky this post and start a new one when the summer 09 season starts. Just a thought.

My first instinct was to agree, but if we leave it, we can see what blooms and when it blooms each year. The history would sure be worth while.

Lake Washington has passed it's green water phase and the algae has started to clump together. Now we cross our fingers and hope that the shrimp, daphinia and other little water critters can take care of the rest. The Winter and Spring floods out a grat deal of material into the water this year. I'm curious to see if it ultimately helps or hurts the system. So far the bass seem to be having a good time!

No post latley, so I thought I would mention that Coffee Pot in Lincoln County is just starting to get a mild bloom. This is quite normal for CP, and on some years it gets very bad. I suspect the high water and colder months will keep it down this year.

Lake Lawrence, out of Yelm has a bad bloom. People and pets are both advised to not enter the water, nor eat any fish caught!

Was out at deception pass and saw they had signs up about Cranberry being closed due to algae bloom.
