Replacement Hook Sizes?

I am looking to replace the treble hooks on my inline spinners(Roostertails and such) with single Siwash hooks in order to comply with the "selective gear rules" on some of the lakes I'm looking into exploring.
The bulk of my spinners are in the 1/8 and 1/16 oz. sizes, but I do have plans of acquiring some as small as 1/64 oz.

Does anybody have any recommendations on the size of Siwash hooks I should use on each(or one) of these sizes?
Any help'd be much appreciated!

On a number size 3 Vibrax I use at least a size 1/0 colored Gama and split ring and make sure the split rings are small not to impact the Hooks natural movement in the water which many do!:-$

With spinners you have a little leeway in hook size as the hook won't adversely effect the lure's action like it would on a spoon. I like to use a larger hook whenever possible, size 6 is the smallest I use for trout, and make sure to offset the hook point from the shank. The rule of thumb that I use is to use a hook at least a long as the length of the spinner blade but not longer than the wire.

why do you tie another snap swivel in front of your inline spinners? Give the lures better action?

I see that Swede prefers to use the Octopus style in a lot of spinners, and if you do as well, then you must use split rings. If you use the open eye Siwash hooks, then you will find that there are few options, but the split rings should probably not be used.

For the Siwash hooks, you might need to go to Bass Pro Shops or Cabelas on line to find options, but I have found that I can get at least a # 4 hook. I believe you can get a # 6 as well, but you will need to look for them on line (check out the VMC hooks).

Now, for sizes, my 1/16 oz lures normally get a # 4 Siwash. My 1/8 oz is normally replaced with a # 1 or a #1/0 Siwash. My 1/4 oz normally gets a # 1/0 or a # 2/0.

Try to make sure that the hook gap is at least a little larger then the diameter of the body. Or, try to make sure the hook gap is equal to the diameter of the treble hook you took off. Doing this will insure you have at least the same amount of hooking ability as the original, with a little less weight.
