lightning lake and thunder lake

Post by beerman1981 » Wed Jun 27, 2007 6:58 pm

I am wondering if any of you guys have any imformation regarding a couple of lakes. On highway twelve, coming from Yakima, just before you get to rimrock there is a road that takes off to the right. The road is called "wildcat road." I believe it is the last road that takes off to the right before you go through the rimrock tunnel. My grandfather was telling me there used to be some really nice fish in a pond up that road. After looking at a map, I discovered there are two lakes off of wildcat road -- "lightning lake" and "thunder lake." Lightning Lake is the first lake you come to, and just up the road is thunder lake. Has anyone fished these lakes? If so, what species are in them? I'm assuming probably brookies, and bows... Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks!
