What's Everyone Tying?
So far, since the arctic blast has hit the Spokane area, I've been tying up some Royal Coachman and Renegade flies. They both work well on the St. Joe and Marshall Lake. Just curious what patterns everyone else is tying. I've even tied up some Royal Renegades. That's a Renegade with a Golden Pheasant tippet tail and a red floss midsection.
Where you go is less important than how you get there.

Pretty small flies, and my camera has a lousy macro, but here they are;
I hope you can tell what they look like. They should work well enough for cutthroat.

Keep that at the front of your box for Marshall.:thumright Cutts love everything in that fly.
RE:What's Everyone Tying?
Tieing chronies, damsels, and clousers will keep me busy for a while. I've probably got way more than I need already, but I always tie more. When I get my boxes full of these I'm going to tie up some English flies to see if they will work on this side of the pond. Buzzers, blobs, boobies, snatchers, daddies. I'll post pics of them when I get them tied.
Life's short - fish hard!

WOW, what to tie.
Hey Joe, what floss do you use on your Royal whatevers? Does it turn almost black when it gets wet like mine does?

Too much water, so many fish, too little time.

My floss stays red. Don't know what kind it is as I've thrown the wrapper away a couple of years ago. I did however, buy it at Sportsman's Warehouse. It's sold in the tight end of a cable tie if that helps.

RE:What's Everyone Tying?
i know i need to tie alot of flies to fill the boxes for spring time but i dont exactly have much of a good plan. all i know is i need to tie a ton of chronies, some zug bugs, and a bunch of bluegill flies. somewhere in there i will end up tying some non standard stillwater patterns like a pink fly of some sort based along the lines of a crappie jig.

If ur a lake fly fisherman like i am. tie up some fairly large leech patterns. If everything ur catching is small during a hatch. use a black rabbit strip leech down bellow the rises. Big FISH KILL IT!!!
dabest fish is any fish
