I haven't checked Mineral out yet this year but I am guessing you probably won't be fishing alone.

We hit it on the Opener and it was CRAZY for people as usual. Fishing was not like it usually is for the opener. We managed one 4 pounder and a few smaller stockers (all released). Just not worth it for the crowds. It took an hour and a half to get the boat out. Single lane boat launch.

I would wait a few weeks. I feel the fish are under TOO MUCH preasure right now.

I went there a couple of weeks back and between the 6 of us we caught around 50. The best lure was a green wedding ring. We also caught a bunch on a rainbow colored flatfish. Another good setup was a green needlefish on leaded line. The biggest trout of the weekend was 17". We got there on a thursday morning and it was starting to fill up pretty fast, come sunday there wasnt many sites left
