lake front resorts/lodges in Western WA
Hi all,
I am looking to take a two friends who rarely fish out for a weekend trip in a few weeks, and was wondering if anyone could recommend a lake front resort or lodge in the Western Washington area other than Silver Lake or Offut. (Unfortunately, Silver was booked and I would like to try somewhere other than Offut). I will primarily be targeting bass, but a mixed bag of fish species would be good. Thanks in advance.

The resort/lakes are located on private property and the resort itself is located between the lakes (3 of them). http://lakedale.com/index.php
Ive been there, but have not fished there. I was told there are Trout and SmallMouth Bass, but Im sure there are more.

The places that I know of that have good Bass fishing (on the Western side), I'm not aware of any resorts in the immediate area; such as Lake Washington, Lake Sammamish and Lake Whatcom (Whatcom has RV/Camping Sites). Lake Mayfield is the only one that I know of with a resort (but I'm obviously not the expert on this...in fact, I'm not the expert on anything.) Mayfield is a nice resort and the lake does have a variety of fish (including bass), as you were mentioning. It also has Tiger Muskie, Rainbow Trout and Perch.
Mayfield contact info: 350 Hadaller Road, Mossyrock, WA 98564 360-985-2357
Good luck to you and your friends!!

RaMcVay and everyone,
Lakedale is awesome, both for fishing and camping, resort, etc. It is up on the Islands, but a good trip. Went up in early spring, still cold, but I hooked into a largemouth first cast out on a little spinner bait, got it to the shore and it threw the hook. Lots and Lots of trout, and saw a half dozen 3lb plus largemouth swimming in the shallows and around the dock. You can rent little rowboats, canoes, etc there, or put your own in. No gas motors.
GREAT, GREAT, GREAT resort. You can even fish right off your campsite, cabin, or the lodge depending on where you choose to bed down.

Look into Conconully resort. Remember that "Resort" is a loose term talking of fishing cabins etc. Often times this means a little ramshackle cabin, and little on site place to buy beer and chips, and basic tackle. On site dock and rental of boats etc.
That would describe Conconully, although I thought that it was great.
Also Lake Bonnipart, Eastside. Cant remember if you said you wanted east or west?
Goodluck, let us know what you do.

This place is not cheap anymore, but the setting is ideal. The cabins down the hill from Sun Mountain Lodge in Winthrop. So it is a resort, and you pay for it. But the bass fishing is good. Boat rentals, air-conditioned plush cabins, which are more like mini houses.
